Nashville man charged with possession of a firearm by a certain person

On December 26th, Howard County Deputy Aaron Quick received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the Center Point area.  Deputy Quick reportedly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after the driver made a turn without using a turn signal.
The driver was identified as 68 year old Eddie Harris of Nashville. 
It was reported that Deputy Quick noticed a rifle in the passenger seat. After running Harris’ license through dispatch, Deputy Quick learned that Harris had been convicted of a felony in the past. Upon searching the vehicle Deputy Quick located a Marlin 30-30 rifle in the back seat and the rifle in the front seat was a Remington 270 caliber rifle.
Harris was placed under arrest and was charged with possession of firearms by a certain person
